Prince Edward County has now become the ‘go-to’ destination for escaping BIG city life. Imagine a weekend of sunny drop-top drives through the county-side, instagram worthy dining experiences, art galleries and wineries.
My love story with Prince Edward County began in July 2017 with a week’s vacation booked in Wellington. I discovered charming towns, farmer’s markets, beaches and endless sunflower fields. The County had me at ‘Hello’. By summer’s end I had purchased a country house with the dream of starting a bed and breakfast.
As a busy Toronto-area real estate agent, I was a self-proclaimed city-slicker and world traveller. I didn’t think Prince Edward County would be my kinda town. But this was the only place where I could truly relax and unwind with a great bottle of wine and good company. There’s just something about big sky country and beautiful lake views that kept me coming back.
We christened the home Hudson House with the historical knowledge that early Empire Loyalist settlers migrated from Hudson, New York in the late 1700’s. Hudson House is a well-appointed 5-bedroom B & B in the heart of Prince Edward County. The large home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.
Thank you for visiting the Hudson House website, hope to see you soon!
